The Testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ

The Revelation of The Lord God Jesus Christ
The Book of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist of the Revelation Given Him by the Risen Lord Jesus Christ.
THE APOCALYPSE OF ST. JOHN THE APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST
{WHO IS THE LAST PROPHET OF THE BIBLE UNTIL SAINT ENOCH AND SAINT ELIJAH RETURN AT THE CONSUMMATION OF DAYS}

The Apocalypse is a revelation of things that were, are and will be. We are actually witnessing some of the events foretold in this book, but many still lie in the future. It is Christ who commands John to write to the seven churches, opens the seven seals, reveals the sufferings of the saints, opens the little book, overcomes the beast, reigns during the period of the first resurrection, judges the dead, both great and small, according to their works at His Second Coming, rules over all things from the beginning, presides over all the changing scenes of earth’s history, and is the King of kings and Lord of lords.
The book presents Christ as the Coming One; it reveals the dealings of Him who came, and who is to come. It opens with the solemn hope that the Coming One will come soon, and closes with the impressive prediction that the Coming One will come quickly.
The book is one of hope, but also one of warning; its aim is to assure the Church of the advent of her Lord in victory. The precise time of this victory lies hidden with God, but it is certain, although the crown will not be won without a struggle. Heaven will be stormed and carried away through suffering and conflict. And all who keep the words of this book will take part in the conflict and share in the victory. The conflict is presented under the form of symbols. It is not easy to give a full interpretation of all the types, but the general symbols are not difficult to understand. Jerusalem stands as the type of the good cause, and this is the Church of Christ. Babylon appears as the type of the evil cause, and this is the world power. The heavenly Jerusalem has the assistance of divine power. The earthly Babylon has the help of evil powers, the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. The scenes in the great conflict arrange themselves around these types of good and of evil. The numbers, the seals, the trumpets and the bowls are phases in the development and consummation of the conflict.
John has arranged the scenes in a sevenfold structure; even in the subordinate visions he keeps to this arrangement. Commentators, however, are not agreed in marking off the limits of each structure.
The book was written in Greek by St. John the Evangelist, on the island of Patmos, about the year. 96 A.D.
Note on parallel passages and commentary. The parallel passages are based on the full concordance thereof relating to, from the Council of Trent; the commentary is late 1940’s Catholic from the full consensus of the Church Fathers on the seven within seven structure of the book.
Also note that the book at the same time “opens from the middle” so to speak. Just like a megilloth (Hebrew for scroll). The first eleven chapters (1 – 11) which culminate in the general judgement – Rev. 11:18 – 19
And the nations were angry: and thy wrath is come. And the time of the dead, that they should be judged and that thou shouldest render reward to thy servants the prophets and the saints, and to them that fear thy name, little and great: and shouldest destroy them who have corrupted the earth.
And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple. And there were lightnings and voices and an earthquake and great hail. (DRV)
And the second eleven chapters (12 – 22) which culminate in the general judgement (Rev. 20:11 – 14) and the New Heaven and New Earth (Rev. 21, 22)
Both the first and second eleven chapters begin from the time of Christ’s Incarnation but include the fact that He is Immortal and the Creator of Heaven and Earth. See: Rev. 1:4 – 6 John to the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace, from him that is and that was and that is to come: and from the seven spirits which are before his throne:
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth, who hath loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood (when He became Incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the blessed virgin Mary and went to the Cross for our salvation)
And hath made us a kingdom, and priests to God and his Father. To him be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.(DRV)
And see: Rev. 12:1, 2, 5
And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. And being with child, she cried travailing in birth: and was in pain to be delivered.
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod (Christ’s Incarnation). And her son was taken up to God and to his throne (Christ’s Resurrection and Ascension). (DRV)
And see: Rev.:21:6:
6 And he said to me: It is done. I am Alpha and Omega: the Beginning and the End. To him that thirsteth, I will give of the fountain of the water of life, freely. (DRV)
These two phrases that is and that was and that is to come (Greek “‘o oon kai ‘o en kai ‘o erchoumenos”) and I am Alpha and Omega (Greek: “egoo eimi to Alpha kai to Omega”) are emphatic declarations of Christ’s Divinity and Immortality for it is the Thrice Holy Trinity – Rv:4:8 And the four living creatures had each of them six wings: and round about and within they are full of eyes. And they rested not day and night, saying: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come. (Greek “‘agious ‘agious ‘agious kurios ‘o theos ‘o pantocrator”) – alone Who possesses Aseity (self existence and Who is therefore alone uncreated) and Who is Immortal of the same Essence/Substance – Nature.
In the above: the “who [that] is”, in Greek “‘o oon”, is the declaration of Aseity. The “who [that] was” and the “who [that] is to come” with the “‘o oon”, self existence, is the declaration of Immortality (having no beginning and no end – always existing). The phrase I am Alpha and Omega has exactly the same meaning. “I am” – “egoo eimi” is the equivalent of Yahweh (God’s proper name) in Hebrew meaning “I am” in the same sense as the above “‘o oon”. Alpha and Omega has the same meaning as Immortality in the above. Pantocrator (translated as Almighty) is the declaration of the Thrice Holy Lord God’s All ruling absolute Sovereignty and includes emphatically the meaning that He is alone uncreated and Creator, ex nihilo, of all of creation. This relates directly to the beginning of the Gospel of St. John and the beginning of the first book of the Torah (the Pentateuch) which is Genesis. See: Genesis 1:1 through 2:4 and St. John’s Gospel 1:1 through vs. 18. All of this and the exact seventy human generations recounted in St. Luke’s Gospel 3:1 – 38 from Adam to Christ (see also the parallel in St. Matthew’s Gospel 1:1 – 25 from Abraham to Christ) and the testimony of the Church Fathers does not allow any pagan evolutionary gods nor even sophist pantheistic idolatrous creationism but only creation by the Creator as He said He did it, and only Redemption in God and His Christ (the Messiah, al-Maseeh) as He said that it is; the false gods or pagan idolatrous religions that willfully reject God and Jesus Christ (those who do not willfully reject Him but seek God in their hearts are judged by God alone) are without grace and they and their followers will be damned forever, who do not repent in this life from those false gods and religions and come to God and His Christ and make confession in Him and be baptized by God’s Spirit {believers in monotheistic Islam who confess the Holy Trinity and Jesus Christ as the Son of God and all men of good will who worship only this God (in the full consensus of the Church Fathers) are included as true believers in the true God and therefore saved by their confession of belief in and fulfilling the will of God, Allah (SWT)}. Allah is from biblical Hebrew ‘Eloah’ and means the true God, All middle Eastern Christians, including Catholics, who are Arabic speakers call on Allah as the name of the true God. Amen.
Note on parallel passage notation – the ! after a scriptural reference means that is the emphasis or central point for explanation of the passage.

Vicomte Léon de Poncins - Freemasonry and the Vatican

The below quote from Poncins at the bottom, as well as alluding to the fierceness of the enemies of God and His people, shows the all encompassing agenda of the Illuminati Judeo-revolutionaries. This is a fight to the death. They mean to not just totally corrupt, but to totally destroy Christian civilization and especially the Church.

This quote applies to the Noahide-Vaticanistas who have sold their souls for less than a bowl of porridge:

Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest in the beast: These shall hate the harlot and shall make her desolate and naked and shall eat her flesh and shall burn her with fire. … Scripture reference – Rev.: 19:20; Dan.:7:11

Vicomte Léon de Poncins - Freemasonry and the Vatican

P. 102: "Stalin's really serious crime, in the eyes of Léon Blum, thinking as a Jewish international revolutionary, was that he betrayed the spirit of world revolution. Exactly the same accusation was brought against him by Trotsky, and it led to his duel to the death with Stalin.

Trotsky, the cosmopolitan, messianic, Jewish figured-head, the demoniacal magus of world revolution, set against Stalin, the Asiatic, the man of steel, the cold, implacable agent of Soviet imperialism.

'Permanent revolution' versus 'Socialism in one country'.

The problem is thus a veritable war of religion; the greatest religious war of all time, for it covers the whole world, and there is not one single country on the face of the globe which can escape it."
Notice also in the above, the idea that it is a Jewish conspiracy in which the Jews hold supremacy is not supported. What is supported in the history here is that certain Jews, like Trotsky, were used by the real power mongers, these are the Freemasonic Illuminati – the great number of which are gentiles. Notice also the East West dialectic.

Deuteronomy 5:7
Thou shalt not have strange gods in my sight.

Exodus Chapter 20:[1] And the Lord spoke all these words: [2] I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. [3] Thou shalt not have strange gods before me. [4] Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. [5] Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, ....

This example shows the basis of Mahavairochana (Dainichinyorai), the whole base of all the esoteric-exoteric Buddhist worship of the dragon, Satan.

One example of the Star of Chiun - Remphan, as it reappeared in the far east, (Indo-China, Tibet, Nepal, China, Korea, Japan) as the Lotus (symbol of pagan reincarnation and worship of the Great White Dragon in the Abyss [from Sanskrit] - Satan) inside the four corners of the cosmos and inside the Lotus is a version of the ancient Egyptian six triangles. "SIX TRIANGLES...is the Egyptian hieroglyphic for the ...Land of the Spirits." (Churchward, p. 177)

Simpler version of the above Tantric symbol in the East (India) from the ancient Assryo-Egyptian: Remphan, Chiun. Amos 5:26-27, "ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god which ye made to yourselves." See: Acts 7:42-43

Cavendish, p. 1300. Tells us that the Hexagram was adopted at the First Zionist Congress in 1897. It is descended from the older Red Shield of Rothschild which in turn is from the Cabalistic symbols which in turn were derived from the ancient Assryo-Egyptian: star of Remphan, Chiun.

Saint Stephen's martyrdom and testimony against the false gods, including Rempham (Remphan).

The Acts Of The Apostles
Chapter 7

Stephen's speech before the council. His martyrdom.

[1] Then the high priest said: Are these things so? [2] Who said: Ye men, brethren, and fathers, hear. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charan. [3] And said to him: Go forth out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. [4] Then he went out of the land of the Chaldeans, and dwelt in Charan. And from thence, after his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein you now dwell. [5] And he gave him no inheritance in it; no, not the pace of a foot: but he promised to give it him in possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

[6] And God said to him: That his seed should sojourn in a strange country, and that they should bring them under bondage, and treat them evil four hundred years. [7] And the nation which they shall serve will I judge, said the Lord; and after these things they shall go out, and shall serve me in this place. [8] And he gave him the covenant of circumcision, and so he begot Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begot Jacob; and Jacob the twelve patriarchs. [9] And the patriarchs, through envy, sold Joseph into Egypt; and God was with him, [10] And delivered him out of all his tribulations: and he gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharao, the king of Egypt; and he appointed him governor over Egypt, and over all his house.

[11] Now there came a famine upon all Egypt and Chanaan, and great tribulation; and our fathers found no food. [12] But when Jacob had heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent our fathers first: [13] And at the second time, Joseph was known by his brethren, and his kindred was made known to Pharao. [14] And Joseph sending, called thither Jacob, his father, and all his kindred, seventy-five souls. [15] So Jacob went down into Egypt; and he died, and our fathers.

[16] And they were translated into Sichem, and were laid in the sepulchre, that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Hemor, the son of Sichem. [17] And when the time of the promise drew near, which God had promised to Abraham, the people increased, and were multiplied in Egypt, [18] Till another king arose in Egypt, who knew not Joseph. [19] This same dealing craftily with our race, afflicted our fathers, that they should expose their children, to the end they might not be kept alive. [20] At the same time was Moses born, and he was acceptable to God: who was nourished three months in his father's house.

[21] And when he was exposed, Pharao's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son. [22] And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians; and he was mighty in his words and in his deeds. [23] And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel. [24] And when he had seen one of them suffer wrong, he defended him; and striking the Egyptian, he avenged him who suffered the injury. [25] And he thought that his brethren understood that God by his hand would save them; but they understood it not.

[26] And the day following, he shewed himself to them when they were at strife; and would have reconciled them in peace, saying: Men, ye are brethren; why hurt you one another? [27] But he that did the injury to his neighbour thrust him away, saying: Who hath appointed thee prince and judge over us? [28] What, wilt thou kill me, as thou didst yesterday kill the Egyptian? [29] And Moses fled upon this word, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begot two sons. [30] And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the desert of mount Sina, an angel in a flame of fire in a bush.

[31] And Moses seeing it, wondered at the sight. And as he drew near to view it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, saying: [32] I am the God of thy fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses being terrified, durst not behold. [33] And the Lord said to him: Loose the shoes from thy feet, for the place wherein thou standest, is holy ground. [34] Seeing I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, and I will send thee into Egypt. [35] This Moses, whom they refused, saying: Who hath appointed thee prince and judge? him God sent to be prince and redeemer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

[36] He brought them out, doing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the desert forty years. [37] This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel: A prophet shall God raise up to you of your own brethren, as myself: him shall you hear. [38] This is he that was in the church in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on mount Sina, and with our fathers; who received the words of life to give unto us. [39] Whom our fathers would not obey; but thrust him away, and in their hearts turned back into Egypt, [40] Saying to Aaron: Make us gods to go before us. For as for this Moses, who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.

[41] And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifices to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. [42] And God turned, and gave them up to serve the host of heaven, as it is written in the books of the prophets: Did you offer victims and sacrifices to me for forty years, in the desert, O house of Israel? [43] And you took unto you the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Rempham, figures which you made to adore them. And I will carry you away beyond Babylon. [44] The tabernacle of the testimony was with our fathers in the desert, as God ordained for them, speaking to Moses, that he should make it according to the form which he had seen. [45] Which also our fathers receiving, brought in with Jesus, into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David.

[45] "Jesus"... That is Josue, so called in Greek.

[46] Who found grace before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. [47] But Solomon built him a house. [48] Yet the most High dwelleth not in houses made by hands, as the prophet saith: [49] Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool. What house will you build me? saith the Lord; or what is the place of my resting? [50] Hath not my hand made all these things?

[48] "Dwelleth not in houses"... That is, so as to stand in need of earthly dwellings, or to be contained, or circumscribed by them. Though, otherwise by his immense divinity, he is in our houses; and every where else; and Christ in his humanity dwelt in houses; and is now on our altars.

[51] You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you also. [52] Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And they have slain them who foretold of the coming of the Just One; of whom you have been now the betrayers and murderers: [53] Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. [54] Now hearing these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed with their teeth at him. [55] But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looking up steadfastly to heaven, saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. And he said: Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

[56] And they crying out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and with one accord ran violently upon him. [57] And casting him forth without the city, they stoned him; and the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man, whose name was Saul. [58] And they stoned Stephen, invoking, and saying: Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. [59] And falling on his knees, he cried with a loud voice, saying: Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep in the Lord. And Saul was consenting to his death.

St. Matthew 24:11,12

St. Matthew 24 [11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many. [12] And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold.

While a raving demented cold blooded murderer rambles on vaguely sounding at times like CNN, decent scholarly folks who tell the truth for the sake of a Godly understanding and peace could be penalized by proposed legislation that ostensibly is for preventing wrongdoing but seems more like it will go toward censorship. The First Amendment is still the law of the land and should remain that. Meanwhile, the results of the catastrophic lie of 911 and the resulting cold blooded murder in the Middle East by the war machine engendered by this staged demolition is first the murder and pillage and overthrow of nations in the region and secondly the economic destruction of the United States in stages. At the same time as NATO is becoming increasingly the partner of Russia, it is more and more linking the United States to the concerns of Europe in disregard of actual U.S. security interests.

Those European concerns are as evil and invalid morally as their real purpose is that of the Atheist Secularist Socialist Europeans, which is the Goal of Communism.

Parousia of Jesus Christ Our Lord: Second Coming of Our Only Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

True to the faith
All men, we will all face Al-Qiyamah (The Resurrection) and the eternal judgment of Christ.

The apostates of Vatican II will be held to full account for their part in bringing in the reign of the evil one into Christ's fold. They will be known as the wolves that Our Lord Jesus Christ warned us of. The Church knew it would come as is shown here: Scripture Scholars, Ancient and Modern

And here: LAW OF NOAH: ONE WORLD RELIGION? also: Lefebvre, Noah, Noahide
And here: "The Plot Against the Church." Maurice Pinay

And here: The War of Antichrist against the Church and Christian Civilization

And here: The Broken Cross - The Hidden Hand in the Vatican

And here: The Antichrist

There are two classes of people who will receive the STRICTEST judgment when Christ returns.

1 -Those who held or who were thought to have held the reigns of episcopal authority. If you are looked to, to lead the Church and you mislead it, your place in hell is the deepest.

2 - Very close to the same level of eternal torment is those who held the reigns of earthly civil authority and lied with it or abused it in ANY way. Eternal fire awaits both.

Pray for the destruction of Satan's plans.

Prayer Against Evil

A Psalm of David, 2.

Why have the heathen raged, and the peoples meditated empty things? The kings of the earth were aroused, and the rulers were assembled together, against the Lord, and against His Christ. Let us break their bonds asunder, and let us cast away their yoke from us. He that dwelleth in the heavens shall laugh them to scorn, and the Lord shall deride them. Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and in His anger shall He trouble them. But as for Me, I was established as king by Him, upon Sion His holy mountain, proclaiming the commandment of the Lord. The Lord said unto Me: Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee. Ask of Me, and I will give Thee the nations for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession. Thou shalt herd them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt shatter them like a potter's vessels. And now, O ye kings, understand; be instructed, all ye that judge the earth. Serve ye the Lord with fear, and rejoice in Him with trembling. Lay hold of instruction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and ye perish from the righteous way. When quickly His wrath be kindled, blessed are all that have put their trust in Him.

The Mark of the Beast

The Mark, the Name, the Number of the beast and the Tower of Babel = Ecumenism explains the context in full that surrounds the issuing of the Mark of the Beast.

The Final Mark of the Beast.

The final mark of the Antichrist (the Beast) will be willful knowingly on purpose representation of the damned individual’s name by gematria/isopsephia spelling of his name to equal 666. He will seek to impress this knowingly on all men. All who knowingly take it will be irrevocably damned.

The ancient types of this are the teserea: the mark on the right wrist (in the New Testament Greek wrist is included in reference to hand) or forehead, and the libellus: the certificate of apostasy the Roman pagan authorities granted to those who denied Christ.

The idea that computerized means to generate the final version of the libellus in this time and in connection a modern version of the teserea is most probable.

But is the spiritual mark that PRECEDES that which is the one by which men are damned. That is done knowingly when someone crosses over the line into willful subjection to the powers of darkness in complete understanding of what they are doing and complete will on their part to do it. These will be in complete docile subjection to the Antichrist to then take the physical mark.

That will be the final sign of the ones who DON’T take the mark to single them out for persecution unto death by the forces of the Antichrist.

Rv:14:9-13:
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: If any man shall adore the beast and his image and receive his character in his forehead or in his hand,
10 He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mingled with pure wine in the cup of his wrath: and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb.
11 And the smoke of their torments, shall ascend up for ever and ever: neither have they rest day nor night, who have adored the beast and his image and whoever receiveth the character of his name.
12 Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
13 ¶ And I heard a voice from heaven, saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. From henceforth now, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours. For their works follow them.(DRV)

Holy Qur'an - SURAH 19: MARYAM (Mary).

SURAH 19: MARYAM (Mary).

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

1 Kaf Ha Ya Ain Sad.

2 A recital of the mercy of the Lord to his servant Zakariyya.

3 Behold! He cried to his Lord in secret,

4 Praying: O my Lord! Infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head glistens with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to you!

5 Now I fear what my relatives will do after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from yourself,

6 One that will truly represent me, and represent the posterity of Yaqub; and make him, O my Lord! One with whom you are well pleased!

7 His prayer was answered: O Zakariyya! We give you good news of a son: his name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have we conferred distinction before.

8 He said: O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?

9 He said: so it will be: your Lord says, that is easy for me: I did indeed create you before, when you had been nothing!

10 Zakariyya said: O my Lord! Give me a sign, your sign, was the answer, shall speak to no man for three nights, although you are not dumb.

11 So Zakariyya came out to his people from his chamber: he told them by signs to celebrate Allah's praises in the morning and in the evening.

12 To his son came the command: O Yahya! Take hold of Al-Kitab with might: and we gave him wisdom even as a youth,

13 And pity for all creatures as from us, and purity: he was devout,

14 And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious.

15 So peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life again!

16 Relate in Al-Kitab the story of Maryam, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the east.

17 She placed a screen to screen herself from them; then we sent to her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.

18 She said: I seek refuge from you to Allah most gracious: come not near if you fear Allah.

19 He said: "No, I am only a messenger from your Lord, to announce to you the gift of a holy[1] son."

20 She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that non man has touched me and I am not unchaste?"

21 He said: "So it will be: Your Lord says, 'That is easy for me: and we wish to appoint him as a sign to men and a mercy from us.' It is a matter so decreed."

22 So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.

23 And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She cried in her anguish: Ah! Would that I had died before this! Would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!

24 But a voice cried to her from beneath the palm tree: grieve not! For your Lord has provided a rivulet beneath you;

25 And shake towards yourself the trunk of the palm tree. It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon you.

26 So eat and drink and cool your eye. And if you see any man, say, I have vowed a fast to Allah most gracious, and this day will I enter into no talk with any human being.

27 At length she brought the babe to her people, carrying him in her arms. They said: O Maryam! Truly an amazing thing have you brought!

28 O sister of Harun![2] Your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother a woman unchaste!

29 But she pointed to the babe. They said: How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?

30 He said: I am indeed a servant of Allah: he has given me Al-Kitab and made me a prophet;

31 And he has made me blessed wherever I be, and has enjoined on me prayer and charity as long as I live;

32 He has made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;

33 So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die,[3] and the day that I shall be raised up to life again!

34 Such was 'Isa Ibn Maryam: it is a statement of truth, about which they vainly dispute.

35 It is not befitting to Allah that he should sire a son[4]. Glory be to him! When he determines a matter, he only says to it, be, and it is.

36 Truly Allah is my Lord and your Lord: therefore serve him. This is a way that is straight.

37 But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the judgment of a momentous day!

38 How plainly will they see and bear, the day that they will appear before us! But the unjust to day are in error manifest!

39 But warn them of the day of distress, when the matter will be determined: for behold, they are negligent and they do not believe!

40 It is we who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to us will they all be returned.

41 Also mention in Al-Kitab the story of Ibrahim: he was a man of truth, a prophet.

42 Behold, he said to his father: O my father! Why worship that which hears not and sees not, and can profit you nothing?

43 O my father! To me has come knowledge which has not reached you: so follow me: I will guide you to a way that is even and straight.

44 O my father! Serve not Satan: for Satan is a rebel against Allah most gracious.

45 O my father! I fear lest a penalty affect you from Allah most gracious, so that you become to Satan a friend.

46 The father replied: do you hate my gods, O Ibrahim? If you forbear not, I will Indeed stone you: Now get away from me for a good long while!

47 Ibrahim said: peace be on you: I will pray to my Lord for your forgiveness: for he is to me most gracious.

48 And I will turn away from you all and from those whom you invoke besides Allah: I will call on my Lord: perhaps, by my prayer to my Lord, I shall be not unblest.

49 When he had turned away from then and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, we bestowed on him Ishaq and Yaqub, and each one of them we made a prophet.

50 And we bestowed of our mercy on them, and we granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth.

51 Also mention in Al-Kitab the story of Musa: for he was specially chosen, and he was a messenger and a prophet.

52 And we called him from the right side of Mount Sinai, and made him draw near to us, for mystic converse.

53 And, out of our mercy, we gave him his brother Harun, also a prophet.

54 Also mention in Al-Kitab the story of Ismail: he was strictly true to what he promised, and he was a messenger and a prophet.

55 He used to enjoin on his people prayer and charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord.

56 Also mention in Al-Kitab the case of Idris: he was a man of truth and a prophet.

57 And we raised him to a lofty station.[5]

58 Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah bestowed his grace of the posterity of Adam, and of those whom we carried in the Ark with Nuh, and of the posterity of Ibrahim and Israel, of those whom we guided and chose. Whenever the signs of Allah most gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears.

59 But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts: soon, then, will they face destruction,

60 Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the garden and will not be wronged in the least,

61 Gardens of eternity, those which Allah most gracious has promised to his servants in the unseen: for his promise must come to pass.

62 They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of peace: and they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening.

63 Such is the garden which we give as an inheritance to those of our servants who guard against evil.

64 The angels say: we descend not but by command of your Lord: to him belongs what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between: and your Lord never forgets,

65 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and of all that is between them: so worship him, and be constant and patient in his worship: do you know of any who is worthy of the same name as he?

66 Man says: What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?

67 But does not man call to mind that we created him before out of nothing?

68 So, by your Lord, without doubt, we shall gather them together, and also the demons with them; then shall we bring them forth on their knees round about hell;

69 Then shall we certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against Allah most gracious.

70 And certainly we know best those who are most worthy of being burned therein.

71 There is not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with your Lord, a decree which must be accomplished.

72 But we shall save those who guarded against evil, and we shall leave the wrongdoers therein, humbled to their knees.

73 When our clear signs are rehearsed to them, the unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?"

74 But how many countless generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye?

75 Say: If any men go astray, Allah most gracious extends the rope to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah being fulfilled either in punishment or in the approach of the Hour, they will at length realize who is worst in position, and who is weakest in forces!

76 And Allah advances in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, good deeds, are best in the sight of your Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of their eventual returns.

77 Have you then seen the sort of man who rejects our signs, yet says: I shall certainly be given wealth and children?

78 Has he penetrated to the unseen, or has he taken a contract with Allah most gracious?

79 No! We shall record what he says, and we shall add and add to his punishment.

80 To us shall return all that he talks of, and he shall appear before us bare and alone.

81 And they have taken gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory!

82 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them.

83 Do you not see that we have set the demons on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury?

84 So make on haste against them, for we but count out to them a limited number of days.

85 The day we shall gather the righteous to Allah most gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours,

86 And we shall drive the sinners to hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,

87 No one shall have the power of intercession, except one[6] who has received permission from Allah most gracious.

88 They say: Allah most gracious has sired a son![7]

89 Indeed you have put forth a thing most monstrous!

90 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split apart, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin,

91 That they should invoke a son for Allah most gracious.

92 For it is not consonant with the majesty of Allah most gracious that he should sire a son.

93 Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to Allah most gracious as a servant.

94 He takes account of them all, and has numbered them all exactly.

95 And each one of them will come to him one by one on the day of judgment.

96 On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will Allah most gracious bestow love.

97 So have we made the Quran easy in your own tongue, that with it you may give glad tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention.

98 But how many countless generations before them have we destroyed? Can you find a single one of them now or hear so much as a whisper of them?

[1] "Holy" can also be translated "pure" or "faultless." Prophet 'Isa Ibn Maryam is the only prophet who is said to be without sin in the Quran. The Injil says the same thing--'Isa was "without sin" (Hebrews 4:15) and "did not sin" (1 Peter 2:22). It is a commonly held error that the other prophets are sinless. For more on this subject see Lesson Two of the study course "The Testimony of the Holy Quran." See also Surah 47:19.

[2] It is unclear why Maryam, mother of 'Isa, is called "sister of Harun". The only Harun mentioned in the Quran is Harun, brother of Musa (pbuh), but he lived some 1400 years before Maryam, mother of 'Isa. If Harun was Maryam's forefather, you might expect her to be called "daughter of Harun," but probably not "sister of Harun." Harun and Musa (peace be upon them) did have a sister named Maryam. But she is not the same Maryam who gave birth to 'Isa al-Masih. You can read about her in the Holy Taurat, Exodus. That other Maryam is actually called "sister of Harun" in Exodus 15:20. Furthermore, Imran is listed as the father of Musa, Harun, and Maryam in the Taurat, 1 Chronicles 6:3.

[3] "The day that I die" is sometimes misunderstood to mean that the death of Prophet 'Isa is still future. It should be remembered that these words are being uttered by the infant 'Isa about his death to his mother Maryam. 'Isa's death could happen at any time in the future from the time he was an infant. Earlier in this surah in verse 15, the death of Prophet Yahya is predicted using the same language, "the day that he dies." Prophet Yahya's death occurred when he was martyred at about 30 years of age, almost 2,000 years ago. Accordingly, 'Isa's death could also have happened while he was still on earth, and not after his second coming, as some say. Furthermore, his death is said to be a blessed day, a day of "peace". It is incorrect to think that death for him would somehow be shameful, any more than it would be for any other prophet.

[4] The holy Injil states plainly that 'Isa is God's Son (Ibn Allah), but no one should understand this to mean that Allah has physically fathered a son. Astaghfirullah! The study course "Allah's Eternal Word" deals with this issue in Lesson Four.

[5] The Taurat and Injil both mention that Prophet Idris was taken by Allah alive to heaven without seeing death. In Genesis 5:24 the Taurat says, "Idris walked with God, and he was not, for God took him." In Hebrews 11:5,6 the Injil adds, "By faith, Idris was taken away, so that he would not see death, and he was not found, because Allah took him. For before his departure he was commended as having pleased Allah. Without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to Allah must believe that he exists, and that he rewards those who seek him." In this way, Prophet Idris (pbuh) is held forth as the example of a man who pleases Allah by his faith, and is thus rewarded.

[6] Al-Kitab identifies only one person as having the power of intercession--Prophet 'Isa al-Masih. The Taurat says prophetically that 'Isa "bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors" (Shaya 53:12). The Injil plainly teaches that 'Isa "is also able to save completely those who draw near to Allah through him, seeing he lives forever to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25).

[7] Astaghfirullah! It would be blasphemy for anyone to say that 'Isa, the chosen intercessor, is the physical son of Allah. The title "Son of God" describes a special spiritual relationship of 'Isa with Allah, but not a physical relationship. The study course "Allah's Eternal Word" deals with this issue in Lesson Four.

The Catholic Creed: St. Ignatius to the Ephesians. St. Irenaeus

Ignatius to the Ephesians
Now the virginity of Mary was hidden from the prince of this world, as was also her offspring, and the death of the Lord; three mysteries of renown,(5) which were wrought in silence by(6) God. How, then, was He manifested to the world?(7) A star shone forth in heaven above all the other stars, the light of Which was inexpressible, while its novelty struck men with astonishment. And all the rest of the stars, with the sun and moon, formed a chorus to this star, and its light was exceedingly great above them all. And there was agitation felt as to whence this new spectacle came, so unlike to everything else [in the heavens]. Hence every kind of magic was destroyed, and every bond of wickedness disappeared; ignorance was removed, and the old kingdom abolished, God Himself being manifested in human form for the renewal of eternal life. And now that took a beginning which had been prepared by God. Henceforth all things were in a state of tumult, because He mediated the abolition of death.

But do Thou O Lord have mercy upon us,
Thanks be to God.

Our Help is in the Name of the Lord,
Who made the heavens and the earth.

BOOK I CHAP. X. - UNITY OF THE FAITH OF THE CHURCH

THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WORLD. { note that St. Irenaeus is the first to record the creed later called the apostles creed – with a lot more than we usually see }

I. The Church: all true Loving Catholic Apostolic Orthodox true Christian brethren and benefactors each of us holding You Christ Jesus Our Only Lord and Saviour the Head directly, though dispersed throughout the whole world, even to the ends of the earth, has received from the apostles and their disciples this faith; in one God, the Father Almighty, Creator, Framer, Maker of heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them; and in one Christ Jesus, the Son of God, who became incarnate for our salvation; and in the Holy Spirit, who proclaimed through the prophets the dispensations of God, and the advents and the birth from a virgin, and the passion and the resurrection from the dead, and the ascension into heaven in the flesh of the beloved Christ Jesus, our Lord, and His [future] parousia from heaven in the same flesh in which he suffered, in the glory of the Father, “to gather all things in one,” and to raise up anew all flesh of the whole human race, in order that to Christ Jesus, our Lord, and God, and Saviour, and King, according to the will of the invisible Father, “every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess” to Him, and that He should execute just judgment towards all; that He may send spiritual wickednesses,” and the angels who transgressed and became apostates, together with the ungodly, and unrighteous, and wicked, and profane among men, into everlasting fire but may, in the exercise of His grace, confer immortality on the righteous, and holy, and those who have kept His commandments, and have persevered in His love, some from the beginning of their Christian course and others from their repentance, and may surround them with everlasting glory.

2. As I have already observed, the Church,
having received this preaching and this faith, although scattered throughout the whole world, yet, as if occupying but one house, carefully, preserves it. She also believes these points of doctrine just as if she had but one soul, and one and the same heart, and she proclaims them, and teaches them, and hands them down, with perfect harmony, as if she possessed only one mouth. For, although the languages of the world are dissimilar, yet the import of the tradition is one and the same. For the Churches which have been planted in Germany do not believe or hand down anything different, nor do those in Spain, nor those in Gaul, nor those in the East, nor those in Egypt, nor those in Libya, nor those which have been established in the central regions of the world { Jerusalem, the mother of all the Churches is here referred to }. But as the sun, that creature of God, is one and the same throughout the whole world, so also the preaching of the truth shineth everywhere, and enlightens all men that are willing to come to a knowledge of the truth. Nor will anyone of, the rulers in the Churches, however highly gifted he may be in point of eloquence, teach doctrines different from these (for no one is greater than the Master); nor, on the other hand, will he who is deficient in power of expression inflict injury on the tradition. For the faith being ever one and the same, neither does one who is able at great length to discourse regarding it, make any addition to it, nor does one, who can say but little, diminish it.

3. It does not follow because men are endowed
with greater and less degrees of intelligence, that they should therefore change the subject-matter of the faith itself, and should conceive of some other God, besides Him who is the Creator, Framer, Maker, and Preserver of this universe ( as if He were not sufficient for them ), or of another Christ, or another Only-begotten.

…while the Catholic Church possesses one and the same faith throughout the whole world, as we have already said.

From all such persons, therefore, it behoves us to keep aloof,…but to adhere to…the doctrine of the Apostles.
